The San Dimas Senior Citizen/Community Center is located at 201 E. Bonita Ave., San Dimas. The Senior Citizen/Community Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The Senior Citizen/Community Center includes a Gift Boutique, a Billiard Room, a Card & Game Room, and a Quiet Lounge. Services include a Lunch Program, Attorney Service, Blood Pressure Checks, Bus Passes, Hearing Clinic, Notary Services, Ombudsman, Podiatrist, and Transportation information. Transportation programs are available through Foothill/MTA Transit, Dial-A-Cab and Get About. Monthly bus passes are sold to seniors at a discounted rate. Phone the Senior Center at (909) 394-6290 for additional information.
Hot lunches are served Monday - Friday to individuals age 60 years and over. Reservations are required one week to one day in advance by calling (909) 394-6298 between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Home-delivered meals are available from Intervale Services, (626) 960-3773.
The Senior Citizen/Senior Center publishes the Silver Times monthly newsletter. The Silver Times may be sent to a home address provided to the Senior Center for a yearly subscription fee of $6.00. San Dimas residents may also provide their name and address to the Senior Center to receive the quarterly Adult Excursion Booklet free of charge. Non-residents may send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Senior Center to receive the Adult Excursion Booklet.
